SAILFISH HIT WAYWARD WIND

Bill’s large party enjoyed a fabulous day out on Wayward Wind in the Caribbean Sea almost flat for their pleasure. A huge amount of activity erupted next to the boat as yellowfin tuna chased flying fish and birds filled the sky. Porpoises had their share too. We waited any moment for a 100lb tuna and […]

BLUE MARLIN – FIRST ON WAYWARD WIND THIS SEASON

Plenty of action today. Birds and Porpoises all over the ocean, including the pink belly fat porpoise, who knows the correct name ? We were well out and we knew a hit must come and in fact  it was two at the same time.

A BLUE MARLIN hit the big plastic lure right next to […]

TREAT FOR THE CAPTAIN’S WIFE

Capt Stewart and George The Crew took Stewart’s wife, Ellen for a little trip on Wayward Wind.

We had caught a lot of WAHOO just recently which are tough and hard fighters so we wanted more of the same for the Captain’s wife.  It did not happen. But we saved the day with hard-fighting – […]

WAHOO ON WAYWARD WIND IN GRENADA WITH ORJAN

On a relatively calm day we searched the ocean for some tough fighting fish for Orjan from Sweden.

WAHOO was our main target, two could not resist our baits and both gave a good fight before coming to the boat.

SAILFISH IN GRENADA

TJ came to Grenada for his first ever sport fishing trip and ended the day with a very nice prize. A SAILFISH came aboard as shown in the picture and then returned to the water to swim off strongly, none the worse for its experience.

It had seemed like a good day when the boat […]

KING MACKERELL TROLLING IN GRENADA

Dennis and Ellen travelled all the way from Sweden to enjoy the fishing in the Caribbean Ocean in Grenada. They were thoroughly rewarded with our best fish of the season, a 40 LB KING MACKERELL which fought all the way to the boat. A hook semi-straightened direct in the gills showed our luck on the […]

A FIRST RAINBOW RUNNER FOR LAURENCE

Laurence achieved a fishing first today with a nice RAINBOW RUNNER. These fish are normally more scarce in our waters although they are running well at present.

Taking it in turns with son Christian, Laurence was soon adding a good bag of fish in what turned out a fairly rough day, especially when a short […]

EDGAR BRINGS THE FAMILY FISHING

More of a family outing than challenging the monsters of the deep, our trip gave plenty of enjoyment for Edgar and his family. He is more accustomed to canning huge yellowfin and albacore TUNA, in his business back home, so it seemed appropriate that out first fish was a tuna – of the blackfin variety. […]

RICHARD FROM UK IS WAHOOD

A huge haul of WAHOO pulled Richard’s arms for an hour. Now he wants to do battle with our BLUE MARLIN  on his next visit.

It took us a little while to find the wahoo but then it was non-stop action. Hook-ups and smash strikes came thick and fast, at one point we were fighting […]

BRENT AND LINDSAY FROM NEW YORK

Yes ! More WAHOO in Grenada for Brent and Lindsay from New York. Their flight cancelled due to snow – what is this strange item ? – they enjoyed a day aboard Wayward Wind afloat in the Caribbean sunshine.

Two WAHOO decided to join them along with our ubiquitous BARRACUDA. We spooked a larger fish […]
